The logmatic is a simple woodcutting tool, developed in Finland. This hatchet works in an easy, efficient and safe manner. It makes cutting wood much less tiring.

The logmatic splitting basket

Description:
The logmatic hatchet consists of a cylinder with a point shaped like a wedge. In this cylinder lies a massive bar, weighing 3,5 kg. Both the bar and the cylinder have a comfortable handle.
The hatchet is delivered with a mechanism to protect the wedge.
The logmatic is designed to cleave wood standing on the floor or on the special logmatic splitting basket. This basket can also be used to carry the cut or uncut wood.

How to use the logmatic:
Place the wedge-shaped point on the piece of wood you like to splice. Place one hand on the handle on the cylinder. Place the other hand on the handle on the bar. Lift the bar up and drop it.
The combined weight of 5,5 kg and the gravity cause the wedge to embed itself into the wood. If the piece of wood isn’t completely spliced yet, you can lift and drop the bar again. After the wood is spliced, you can place the wedge-shaped point on the next piece of wood.

Safety:
To wield a sharp axe with precision and strength is a craft only a few woodcutters possess. Every year a lot of accidents happen while cutting wood. The regulations for woodcutters are being sharpened every year. Logmatic puts a stop to this unsafety! Chances of getting into an accident while using a logmatic are significantly shortened because you are in complete control of the entire movement of splitting the wood.

Convenience:
Because the logmatic cuts the wood using gravity to its advantage, only the very minimum of labour is required to splice pieces of wood. Standing with a straight back behind the logmatic means the arm-muscles do most of the work.

Extra:
Logmatic supplies a multipurpose basket. Placing the wood in the basket makes it easier to splice the timber. After every piece is cut you can easily carry them inside using this basket. It’s best to place as many pieces of wood inside as possible.
